Funeral Planning

Angel in the peace garden covered in snow

In the encounter with the real presence of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died on the cross and rose again from the dead, the Church can confidently proclaim that God has created each person for eternal life. We invite you to celebrate a Funeral for your loved one, so the Christian community may commend their soul to God’s merciful love, and He may bring comfort and hope to us, until the day in which we may be all one in Him.
Our staff is ready to assist you with the planning, so please call us directly or ask the Funeral Home to give us a call on your behalf. A pastoral leader will arrange a meeting with you shortly after your call. If you would like to check out the proposed readings and music for the liturgy prior to our meeting, you may click on the links below. You will need to choose one First Reading, one Second Reading and one Gospel Reading. Regarding music, you should choose one song for each part of the Mass, as indicated in the document.
You may also think about someone to read the readings and intercessions (up to 3 people) as well as a couple of people (or more) to bring the gifts of bread and wine during Mass.
Lastly, we include a sheet with proposed designated gifts, in case you want to designate the Co-Cathedral of St. John’s as a Memorial for your loved one.

May the peace of God be with you.
