Youth Ministry
The Co-Cathedral of St. John’s Youth Ministry is committed to fostering the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person in our community by empowering them to live as disciples of Jesus Christ. We should Live In Faith Together!
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLW) takes place during the Sunday morning 9:30 Mass. Children (ages 3 through 2nd grade) are dismissed to the Chapel before the Liturgy of the Word to hear the Gospel from the children’s lectionary. They return to join their family in the pews before the Liturgy of the Eucharist. No registration is required. You can check the bulletin for updates on the CLW schedule.
Open Gym
Throughout the year, we invite kids to participate in our open gym activities. We ask that students in fourth grade and younger be accompanied by an adult. Please check our calendar for upcoming open gym dates or contact Laura for more information.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is a great way to encourage the faith in our young people ages 3 through those entering 6th grade. Additional opportunities for service and leadership are available for older students. Our 2025 theme is True North! Save the date for June 23-27th 9:15am-11:40am and get ready for a week of learning how to trust Jesus in a wild world. Please contact us if you would like to register a student. Adult volunteers are also needed; contact Laura Miller to find out more.
Camp Summit
We would love for your middle schooler to join us at Camp Summit! Camp Summit is an overnight Catholic adventure camp for middle school youth entering grades 6-8. Nestled in the bluffs of Lanesboro, Minnesota, Camp Summit provides a fun, formative, and faith-filled experience for parish groups throughout the Diocese of Winona-Rochester. St. John's loves to bring a parish group and would love to share more information with you. Please reach out to Megan Rodriguez if you have a child interested in joining us for camp or if you are an adult interested in helping at Camp Summit!
