Young People March for Life

This year, several young people from our parish and the Rochester community traveled with the Diocese of Winona-Rochester to the March for Life in Washington DC. This is one of many ways the Catholic Ministries Appeal has made an impact on our community by helping to provide staff and resources for this event. Read about two of our young parishioners’ experience below. The Catholic Ministries Appeal helps build the church right here in our parish so that we can then go out and be the light of the world. Consider joining this mission of building the church by giving to this year’s appeal. You can find information online at catholicfsmn.org or in the Gathering space. Thank you for helping to further Christ’s mission.

The March for Life trip was an amazing experience filled with lots of fun and excitement. The March had many people supporting the pro-life movement and was a really cool experience. At the rally, we could see how many pro-life supporters were gathered, and the crowd went back almost all the way to the Washington Monument! We saw the sites of Washington, DC, which were spectacular. We saw some of the main monuments like the Washington Monument at night and Ford’s Theater and the Holocaust Museum during the day to learn more about the value of life throughout history. We also were able to attend Mass at two of the beautiful churches in DC, Saint Mary Mother of God Catholic Church and the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. The trip was a great way to grow in our Catholic faith. Thank you so much for supporting us in either your donation, prayer, and/or thoughts. We really appreciate it and are very grateful for your support!

Thank you,

Stella and Lucy Haselkorn
